Rustic Barn Wedding at Old Luxters Barn

Helena and Cerys had the ultimate rustic barn wedding on a sunny day in April. Their wedding truly represented them as a couple to a T! With a sunflower theme, non-traditional styles and even their dogs got involved. I've known Helena for many years now so when she asked me to be her photographer I jumped at the chance!

Getting Ready Details

Keeping with the non-traditional themes, Helena and Cerys decided to get ready together (no first look for these two). For me it was important to capture their details in a way that shared their importance of getting ready together. This meant it was joint details, with only one flat lay with both their sentimental items as well as capturing their wedding dresses together. They both opted for dresses for their wedding, both dresses are by the talented Maggie Sottero, with gorgeous floral lace designs but both unique in their own ways.

Outdoor Ceremony at Old Luxters Barn

This ceremony was the outdoor wedding of dreams! Leading from the house of Old Luxters Barn the aisle was lined with a gorgeous hessian fabric which finished at the top of the aisle by the gates leading to the vineyard. Even though Helena and Cerys got ready together, the emotions were still very much there when they saw each other walking down the aisle. So much so that Helena's much had to hold her up she was that over come by emotion, there was not a dry eye in sight! Once the official part was finished, they celebrated with a stunning confetti toss, keeping with the rustic theme they used dried flowers for their confetti.

Helena and Cerys' friends and family were fully up for group photos! We had some serious laughs creating some fun and memorable moments! And of course we couldn't forget Doris and Graham, the newly weds two pugs, who were also in wedding attire. Doris wore a gorgeous yellow skirt keeping in style with the sunflower theme, whilst Graham looked very smart in his checkered bow tie!

Couples Photos in Old Luxters Barn's Garden

Once the group photos were finished and everyone headed to the bar, we snuck away for a few photos of the newly weds. The sun was fully here for these photos creating some glowing scenes.

As your wedding photographer I will always make sure you get all the snaps you want at your wedding, which for Helena and Cerys meant recreating an old but important photo. One of their first photos together was of them sat opposite on a bench together, so what did we do? We recreated that exact photo!

Cozy Wedding Reception at Old Luxters Barn

The rest of the evening and night was spent full of love and laughter. The whole space felt very cozy with fairy lights bringing the evening to life! Once the party started it didn't stop with every guest sup and dancing, it truly was a wedding party. When it was eventually time to out up the dancing shoes we ended the night with a sparkler exit to send of the newly married couple!
